SimpleThings:
I know you weren't bashing LM358 was just searching for alternative since I read that people have problems with LM358 even a guy who made this arduino shield wrote that he has some problems with LM358.
Thank you for your help.
Will feed you back when I get the components from China.
Thank you for your suggestion.
lm358 is a bit moody, but it's cheap. It's my fav jellybean for commercial products. If you aren't selling many, many kits then probably getting something bit more decent is the way to go. But I take a twisted pride in using lowend components to get good results. ![]()
The problems with lm358 are: bit of a noise, but not THAT much, they don't like being loaded much (it SIGNIFICANTLY reduces their voltage swing), bit of an offset, not reliable with high gains (>100 is bit tricky) and slow response (response speed will most likely will be okay for this application though). But the good thing about them is, now that I've given you my two cents, you can go and buy one lm358 for them.
