Hi All,
I'm running an UNO with generic 8x8 matrix 7219 boards from eBay. I'm using the latest MD_MAX72xx and MD_Parola libraries with a compiler directive of #define USE_GENERIC_HW 1. I also have a large power supply to run the 8x8 matrix displays.
I can successfully get 6 display units working flawlessly, but when I add any more, the displays start displaying incomplete or weird characters or random segments light up. The demo videos I see show far more than that working, yet I can't seem to find a single bit of code that will work with more than a few display units.
Has anyone run into this situation? Are the generic display units the problem?
