Multiple frequency capacitive touch sensors?

Hello

I saw these videos on youtube that are a type of capacitive touch sensor but work over multiple frequencies so it can detect how an where the user touches an object. They look really cool and would be so much fun to replicate and try on my own projects:

Note: These use multiple frequencies (from 1khz to 3mhz) to detect a users touch position unlike capSense which can only detect a touch.

I've seen this library called capSense: Arduino Playground - HomePage
however (to my knowledge) it acts as more of a switch and is detecting only one frequency unlike the videos above.

This stuff looks like a lot of fun and it would be awesome if someone could point me in the right direction to get started.

Many thanks
