Curious to find out if you used multiple GPS modules (lets say 5x 1hz units) do the GPS modules (INTERNALLY) update at the same time, randomly or can it be set?
Being able to set when it updates would be preferable (ie: you could set each to sync 1/5 phase from each other).
Thoughts?

No, they are synchronized to the atomic clock on the satellites.
Most GPS devices can be configured to provide updates at 5hz or more.
Why do you need it?
You might be interested in my NeoGPS library. It's smaller, faster, more reliable and more accurate than all other GPS libraries.
Really bad idea. The GPS units will all have their own solution to the current position. So you will be jittering back and forth at 5Hz. Even if the antennas are adjacent, they will get different data.
That would be like buying 5 clocks, so you can what time it is more often. You'd get 5 different times.
Unless you are moving incredibly fast, once a second updates are generally good enough.
If not, get a better GPS, not more of them.
