Multiple Rx & Tx Lines

Hi Guys,

I just wanted some info on receiving & transmitting from multiple probes. Is it possible to set more than one pin as Rx and more than one as Tx at the same time?For example like rx = 2, tx =3 & rx2 = 4,tx2=5?

I can post the code if required but right now I would just like to know if it is possible?

Software serial can do that but not all together I gather, you can only use a single connection at any one time.

If you have a Mega or Due then you can use 4 serial ports at the same time.
