I'm building a robotic arm for my end project for school.
The arm holds 8 servos witch I want to control via a computer.
So I thought just use an arduino and its serial port.
But I don't know if an arduino can control 8 servos directly (because it only has 6 pwm outputs).
Also maybe an Pololu micro serial servo controller is a better idea.
But then when the arduino talks to the servo controller can it still talk to the PC?
Thanks in advance!

PWM has very little to do with servo control.
Use the standard servo libraries, and eight servos should be no problem.
Oh oke, didn't know that. Thanks!
So just connect the servo control pins to the digital pins on the arduino?
Yes, that's it. Look for the examples of the Servo library.
And have a look in the other current treads about how to connect the power for them
