Multiple Thermocouples to Monitor Oven Temperature

I am a beginner to Arduino and electronics in general. I am working with a sparkfun max31855 trying to use multiple thermocouples to monitor the temperature of different sections of a large oven. Is anyone able to find or make a tutorial that will let me accomplish this?

I currently have an arduino uno connected to a sparkfun max31855 outputting temperature data from one thermocouple to an LCD display. I have attempted to use a multiplexor to read multiple thermocouples but have not gotten it to make an measurements of temperature.

I have an arduino uno connected to a sparkfun MAX31855 and read temperature to an LCD display. I'm trying to use this sparkfun multiplexor to hook up three additional thermocouples but I can't get it to read any temperatures.

Does anyone know a tutorial or can anyone describe how to accomplish this task?

You are best placed to use multiple MAX31855 chips instead of trying to multiplex the microvolt thermocouples.

If the oven is less than 150C then DS18B20 sensors are much easier to use.

You can not switch thermocouple leads with a multiplexor. The interface chips are not expensive; you then activate one thermocouple/interface at a time using their Chip Select lines..

You can search on 'thermocouple" and see how multiple thermocouples are handled. This works well for me and is stable on a high-temperature kiln.
