Music controlled LED lights

Hey guys!

This is a DIY weekend project I did a while back but I decided to publish it.

It's a music controlled LED project, so an LED strip is controlled realtime using music played on a computer. I know it's not perfect however it works as I want it to work, and this was my first Arduino on a breadboard (then perfboard) project.

So here's a YouTube video about the project: YouTube link

The project also has a page, which contains the schematic, the Arduino sketch and the PC app: Project site

The full sourcecode is also available here: GitHub

So I'd like to know what you guys think about it.

Cool!

can you do this with an arduino. or how do you program the atmega with out being on the uno board?
