MX1508 motor drivers

Hi everyone,

is it possible to efficiently control a BLDC motor with an MX1508 + Ard. Nano like it is with an L298 (no decoder)?

I tried the same code and pin hookup as I did with the Nano+L298, but I could not get the same strong and stable code-controllable rotation. IE the motor would just throb if not "jump-spun" by hand. So in other words, not working!

I am using using 5V power and a ⌀28mm OD, hollow shaft, 12 coil/3 wire outrunner brushless motor.

I'm working on a hobby project and size is a bit of an issue, so I would much rather use an MX1508 if at all possible.

Even a simple "yes" or "no" answer would greatly help, but feel free to suggest code and layout (hookups), thanks!

Hint the L298 drops about 3V, so your motor needs to be rated to operate at about 2V with a 5V source, Recommended solution get a different driver with a MOSFET output.

Hey, not sure how that answers my question but thanks for taking the time

Three volts vs 5V on the 5V motor terminal will make a difference is speed and torque.

No. Use a BLDC motor driver.

Thank you.
