I have bought a new arduino MKR1000 but it's not recognized in my laptop i have tried other MKR1000 and it work but the new one it's not detected just the LED that lights up ON
Assuming that your laptop is a Windows one, then is there any indication in Device Manager that a USB device has been connected when you connect your MKR1000? Does your laptop play any sound when you plug in the MKR1000?
use a double reset to activate the bootloader and then upload a working sketch
Yes my laptop is Windows one, my laptop don't play any sound when i plug in the new MKR1000 but when i plug in other MKR1000 the laptop detect them just the new one don't work no sign that a USB device has been connected.
Ok i will try this , thanks
it does't work
Hi @anis_aliouachene. After pressing and releasing the reset button on your board quickly twice, do you see the "L" LED pulsing?
When I plug in the MKR1000 the "L" LED pulsing and after pressing and releasing the reset button the "L" LED pulsing sometimes quickly (about 4s between each pulsing) and sometimes slowly. Since the on led is always light that mean that the MKR1000 is not damaged ?????
No, unfortunately not. It just means it has power.
it's a new MKR1000 i don't know why it does't work.
Did you use the same USB cable for both boards?
when the LED is pulsing after double reset, select the port in Tools menu and upload a working sketch
Yes
When i do this i tell me that no boards find at the COM Port
Do you see the MKR 1000 appear in the Arduino IDE's Tools > Port menu after you do the double reset and make the LED pulse?
No i don't see anything in the Arduino IDE's Tools > Port also when i plug in the mkr1000 there is no notification or sound that i have plug in it
Just tested Anis's Arduino...
- Does not show up in device manager even after double click
- Not recognised but Arduino IDO or VS Code
- Not recognised by Arduino Create Agent and Arduino Cloud
- Tried hard reset (reset pin and ground), no luck
The power light does come on...
Using mutltiple Arduino's on my win 10 laptop (1000, 1010, nano io33, gsm 1400, ...) and everything works fine. Did a test with another mkr1000 and everything runs fine.
Going to keep searching to help him out.
then try to 'burn' bootloader
