I have been working with Arduino nano from Amazon and about a month ado my chrome book would let me upload my sketches, but as of yesterday, Arduino will not recognize my sketches.
Can anyone help?

Have you tried with serial monitor closed?
- Which version of the IDE are you using?
- Is your Nano a clone or original?
- Did you try the different options undet tools / processor?
- What is the project that you're working on?
- Anything connected to pins 0 and 1?
Version, 2.2.1 i believe
Should be original. ( amazon )
on my chromebook, do not have a tool bar
working on a simple relay circuit, but my previous project was a 53 HC circuit and uploaded with no problem
Nothing connected to pins 0 or 1
Thank you
Maybe your Nano is not Happy. NANO (Old Types) some require you to use the old bootloader option. Go into tools and see if you have the correct board and boot loader selected. If you have the correct board try the a different bootloader, you get to pick from the menu,.
On my chrome laptop, I don't have the option of tools but I was able to select arduino nano and old bootloader,
I was able to work with my nano in the past but currently

Sorry I cannot help any more, I use the 1.8 version of the IDE on Linux and have no real knowledge of your system.

They are one of the biggest sellers of fake Arduinos going.
Post a picture of the front and back of the board and we can tell you.
What were you doing last?
Maybe you damaged it by miss wiring something.
Where should I purchase my nano's from and I was working on a relay switch but I have used these same nano's before and my andrino accepted them.
Thank you

Hi, @raiders9691
Have you tried the 1.8.19 version of the IDE, that does not rely on the internet or any quirky Windoze updates?
-
Have you been able to program that exact Nano board successfully before?
-
Can you still upload and run code like "Blink without delay".
Thanks.. Tom..

I have not tried 1.8.19 version of the IDE and yes I have programmed that board in the past.
Thank you
It is definitely a clone nano.
Try the old boot loader stuff.........
It's not always easy to decide where to post; there are too many categories. If you take a little time to scroll through the categories, you might understand the use of each category; most questions will fit in one of the subcategories of Using Arduino - Arduino Forum. Sometimes a question will fit in multiple categories; in that case, just try to pick a suitable one.
For upload problems, the best choice is usually Avrdude, stk500, Bootloader issues - Arduino Forum. That is where I did move it to.
- You haven't provided the verbose output that was provided requested in post #2. Please try to upload with nothing connected to exclude external factors.
- Can you please redo the second image in post #11 so it's in focus and we can read the text on the IC. Example below
That does not really matter; Mike's comment was mostly to tell you that it does not mean anything when you state something lik "amazon".
If you want originals, just look for sellers that sell originals (any nano with CH340 in the description is a clone).
Please provide a schematic / wiring diagram how everything was connected; a photo of a paper/pencil drawing is fine). Which relay, please provide a link. What are you switching with the relay.
I can sort of read the text on the IC
Pretty sure it is a WCH CH340G chip......
On my image, yes. On the OP's one it's just a grey blob for me.

I hope that this helps, The circuit that I am going to be working on is nano to relay to control lights, also, I have used these nano's in the past with no problem.
Also, the only board my Chromebook will recognize is Arduino UNO, not Mega 2560 or nano.
Thank you very much for your help
A reputable supplier, that means Not Amazon
Amazon allow third parties to sell anything and they don't care if it is selling fakes.
Without knowing what country you are in it is hard to tell where you can buy them from.
The chip with a red circle round it tells you it is 100% a fake or clone, not a genuine Arduino.
That is the CH340 serial / USB interface chip.
You need to select the OLD bootloader, maybe you forgot this.
