My Arduino Nano won't show up as COM

When I connect my Arduino Nano to my computer, in device manager it shows up under other devices and it is called USB2.0-Serial. After going through some videos I found out it was probably the driver. I know this needs the CH340 driver so I downloaded that and unistaled that installed the driver. It says the download failed. So I try to update the driver using the devise manager. When I do that it says there is an error. The error is "The configuration registry database is corrupt". So now I don't know what to do.

"The configuration registry database is corrupt"

This is a Windows issue. Google results for The configuration registry database is corrupt.

It happened to me once and I tried everything but couldn't solve it. Then I created a new user on my computer and then installed driver on it and it worked fine. Recognized the Arduino UNO
