My Genuino 101 is getting a bit warm?

Hello

I plug this Genuino 101 into the computers USB port, the On power LED lights up, but it does not appear on the list of Ports in the Arduino IDE. After a minute or so the Fault and TX/RX LED's light up and on the board the processor gets rather hot, as you can see in the thermal image:

Pressing Master Reset makes the LEDs go out, but it still remains warm.

Any suggestions to get it working again, or is it dead?

Thanks
Karl

Do you have anything connected other than power? How are you powering the board?

Weedpharma

I don't have anything connected to it. It is being powered from the USB port on the computer. The other Arduino's I have run OK on the same USB connection.

I have used the board before, it was a while back and for nothing more exotic than blinking a LED (with resistors) or two.

I'm wondering if I've managed to put into some weird mode, or, more likely, I broke it.

Thanks
Karl.
