haha sorry, i'm no photographer. Assuming that i plugged the wires into the Arduino in the same configuration as provided on this website http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~fwinkler/616/sn754410_Arduino.pdf what else could be going wrong?
I should note that i have also tried wiring the other side of the h bridge for motor2 and the same problem occurs.
