I got this shield on eBay and customized it a bit, to accept cool looking Sparkfun’s 16x2 LCD. It snug fits on the top of the Arduino. You can see it here displaying the temperature from a Oomlot’s temperature sensor.
Next project is displaying servo’s position on the LCD.
Looks cool! Why do you need the additional breadboard to hook up the sensor? Wouldn’t it work if you would mount the sensor on the shield?

Ahh now that's why it's called prototyping :D
For anyone who's interested, I presume it is the LM35 analog temp sensor that oomlout sells.
Also, the decimal you have is completely pointless as the precision is only 1C. I know it looks cooler though :P
I do like the light on dark LCDs. Maybe I need to buy one to add to my collection. Ebay'll have one for £5 or so no doubt. My last 16x2 was £3!
I bought that LCD strictly on the basis that it looks sexier than any other 16x2 out there.
I bought Arduino at Oomlot and they give you this nice perspex support board. Its just handy.
Next thing is Hall's sensor. Do you have any code for that?
