My Nano Clone is not working but I have the CH340 drivers installed! I did get it to work a few times by pulling in and out the cable (I've used two different cables), but I don't think it is a hardware problem because it works for a second every time I pull out and in ether side, but except for every time I do that it doesn't show up in the IDE. I did get one small sketch to upload in that second and it works but I can't get anything big enough to be useful to upload! I use
Ubuntu Mate 22.02.
I don't know about Mate, but in Mint, the port assignments can change randomly when you plug/unplug a USB serial device... you need to reselect them
No, it always shows up as "USB0" but the port is always disappearing.
Hi, @programminguy
Welcome to the forum.
What do you mean by working and not working?
Can you upload to it or does your code not always run on the Nano Clone?
Have you tried the "Old Bootloader" option in the IDE, as a lot of clones have the old bootloader instead of the later versions.
Thanks.. Tom...
By "Not working" I mean the port isn't showing up, and yes, I did try the old bootloader.
Anything connected to your board? Except for USB, obviously
If yes, what and to which pins.
No.
Personally I think it's a faulty board. Return to sender if it's new.
Did you install it yourself ?
Maybe have a look here.

Hi,
Have you another Nano to attempt to program, just to clear any IDE problems?
Tom...
PS. I hope you bought more than one clone.
Thank you. That link worked!
