My relay is working , just makes the noise of a water drop

This is the relay/ power supply.

I have a float switch at the bottom of a tank Its has 497k resistance when open all the way. The code I have see it in digital I had to put a 10 k resistor on the switch because I was getting interference now it's working and on a 3000 delay

Is this a hardware issue? I am looking into debounce instead of delay

The float is automatic safety shut of for the relay (pump)

Does your relay operate correctly when you apply 5 volts DC directly to the terminals?

A schematic of you wiring is kind of important for questions like this!

Sorry, but I have to ask, are the wires to the float switch submerged in water?

In prototyping not in water
