so i have a 1W speaker and i used the dfplayer to play sounds, the dfplayer is showing signs of life that its awake on the serial monitor but the speaker just doesnt work
Verify your speaker wires are correct and the volume is adequate.
my volume is 30 and my speakers are supportable by the DFplayer mini (speaker: 1W 4ohm)
Show your wiring diagram.
check your speaker with multi meter
by connecting +ve & -ve
if sound coming through multi meter, check wiring or code
if not, replace speaker
No. Sound for the speaker will not come through the multimeter. At most, the speaker will give a "click" sound from the diaphragm as the weak voltage from the multimeter briefly charges, then discharges the speaker coil.
No. If the weak voltage from the multimeter was insufficient to cause a "click" in the diaphragm, that is not reason to discard the speaker.
Also, try the "I/O mode" of the DFPlayerMini, here... it only requires SPKR+, SPKR-, VCC, GND and a shorting jumper.
Without your full code and wiring connections it's guesswork. So if you're still seeking help...
