Mystery jumper on ULN2003 stepper board

I got a ULN2003-based stepper driver board like this one:

Right below the chip there are 4 pins: GND, VCC and two labelled with this symbol: <-> The board arrived with a jumper on the ones with the symbol. I can find no documentation about the pins or the jumper. Any ideas?

The only then is to trace where the links go. It is possible that it is a link to the flyback diodes on pin 10 of the chip.

The jumpered pins on the ULN2003 is for a switch that would stop the stepper from running. Think of it as a local disconnect.
