I don't have skate for that yet. I also beware of RXD using 3.3 V and VCC 5V.

Does your motor shield use these pins for another device?

it doesn't use for another device, its empty. i tried all analog pin (motor shild mount on Uno) only A0 and A1 get low read rate unleash the another get high read rate.

Do your devices work with the Arduino when the motor shield is removed?

Sounds like it is working. Pololu says:

strong reflectance, such as when the sensor is over a white surface, its output voltage will tend towards 0 V
