Nano 33 BLE is not connecting (I think)

Hello!

I am very new to this tech stuff. I am currently struggling with connecting my microcontroller to Edge Impulse. I connected the microcontroller to my PC via USB and I do not think my PC recognizes it (LEDs are blinking etc.)

Does anyone have a solution to this?

Thanks in advance!

Is a new COM port created when you plug in the Nano ?

Hello, thanks for the quick response.

I do not think a new COM port is created (it should show on the device manager, right?). when I plug the USB cable out and back in no new device is being recognized by the device manager. this is a bit frustrating since I bought the microcontroller about a week ago.

Re you sure that the USB lead that you are using has data lines in it and is not just a charging lead ?

I did not even know there were different types of USBs. I will order the right ones!

this is the one I use:

You cannot tell which type it is by looking. Was that lead supplied with a device or did you buy it separately ?

I found it at home. I am not sure.

is there a way for me to check?

Try to transfer data. If you can't, it is a charging cable.

Have you got a mobile 'phone that uses the same USB connector as the Nano ?

No. I only have a music box that uses the charger.

What is the best way of doing that?

That's why I was asking if you had a 'phone, so that you could try a data transfer

Do you know anyone with a compatible 'phone ?
