Purchased 2 different branded Nano boards (6 total boards) and neither communicate with Windows 10. Windows beeps when I plug them in, but are not listed in Device Manager. And the com options on Blink are only Com1. However, when I plug my Uno in, it does show up in DM and on Blink as Com4. The second set I purchased had the com cables (which I thought was the problem). Both are running the 328P and I've tried both the 328P and 328P Old Bootloader.
What is blink in your post?
Sorry, the sketch software.
I've tried hooking it up to 3 different computers and all of them have the Nano as a "Other Device: USB Serial". I've tried manually installing drivers, but Windows can't find a driver. I've even tried the "Old Drivers" folder.
You might have the CH340 TTL-to-USB chip on the Nanos in which case you need to download the driver from CH341SER.ZIP - NanjingQinhengMicroelectronics and install it.
If you're not sure which TTL-to-USB chip is on the Nano, you can use Windows device manager to find the VID and PID of the device and look it up on the web.
- Right click on the device in Windows devise manager and click properties.
- Select Hardware Ids in the details tab.
- A CH340 would have a the below VID and PID
Once Windows recognises the Nano, you might still have to play with the processor options in the tools menu to achieve a succesfull upload.
