Any idea on how long 4-AA or AAA alkaline batteries would power a Nano that's just running a loop continuously reading one Analog Input?
It is not difficult to calculate if you know exactly the consumption of your Nano (which you can measure with an ammeter) and the capacity of your batteries.
For example, using three 2,000mAh batteries connected in series (making 4.5V) to power your nano consuming 10mA, the batteries should last about 200 hours (2,000 / 10).
I just read a posting at:
It is VERY good as providing power saving techniques and calculations using different types of batteries.
It's an easy read.
Thanks!
I like the Narcoleptic library to sleep the Nano. If you only read every 100ms, this makes a huge difference compared to every 1ms. You can sleep for 99.9ms at a time!
