I get this response when trying to load a library onto a newly downloaded 2.3.2 IDE connected to a new Arduino NANO:
Downloading LiquidCrystal@1.0.7
LiquidCrystal@1.0.7
Installing LiquidCrystal@1.0.7
Failed to install library: 'LiquidCrystal:1.0.7'.
Error: 13 INTERNAL: Library install failed: creating temp dir for extraction: mkdir c:\Program Files\Arduino IDE: Access is denied.
ALSO new Arduino file is in C: not in c: \program files\arduino ide. Where did mkdir (make directory?) come from and how do I get rid of it?
Bob,
Your question started a search to the preferences. Changed Arduino IDE location and everything is functioning now...I think.
At the bottom of the IDE sketch page there is a green strip. On it text says " Ln1, Col1 Arduino NANO on COM6 ". I still get "Unknown board" when tools looks for board info. Right now, I'm going to ignore the above unless you think I should fuss with it somemore. Please advise when you get a minute. Thanks,
Jon S
Bob,
The problem here is I bought this NANO board from Arduino paying full bore retail price. Did this to get around the clone driver problem. I guess if you haven't had problems, I'm not worrying about it. Thanks for the helping hand.
