Nano clone - no “ding ding” USB sound when connecting to PC

I have been using an UNO without issue and wanted to try a Nano. Bought one off BangGood. Connected to Windows 10 pc.

One onboard LED goes solid red. And another flashes red every 2 seconds. In for maybe 50ms then off. Blinking like that.

PC makes no “USB detected” sound. So I’m not sure this is a driver issue. It has the CH340 chip. And I downloaded the driver. But I think the issue is lower than that. No USB sound when I connect.

I’m suspecting a dead board. But had anyone seen this?

USB cable plugged in well.
USB port (PC side) seems ok as UNO working well.
Windows seem ok as USB on UNO is fine.

Only differences is the Nano - and the USB cable. Trying to find a spare. Was hoping the LED was indicating something.

T’was the USB cable. Found an old one and “Di dunk” sound happens and I can flash code. Thanks.
