So yes it is a generic Display, followed the display wire instructions SSD1306 OLED D1 to SCL D2 to SDA 3.3 to VCC GND to G Installed on a ESP8266 , can only think It is bad, after it is connected for awhile the display that never lights up gets warm. Thanks
