So my dad has given me a box of Arduino bits for a few projects and said it will be easy!.....
I have an Arduino Nano V3.0 and a Funduino Pro Mini. 5V
Since I have had issues I have read that there are driver issues with FTDI chips and I gather mine are fakes.
Loaded Arduino IDE 1.0.6 on to my Win 7 Pro 64-bit PC.
Plugged in Nano and I have run the executable driver install from FTDI. Appears to install and appears as a device without issues.
Arduini IDE has shown various errors no matter what I try.
On Youtube I have tried the manual driver update by the Helpful German. Un-brick the FT232RL FTDI USB Serial Adapter - YouTube and no luck.
I have checked the bricking clip with the Mprog Unbrick Arduino FTDI FIX (Driver Update Win7 Arduino Nano FT232R USB UART) - YouTube
and mine shows fine with 6001.
All this and no blinking LED.
SO what next?
