Nano had power but dont see any COM port.

So I got a knockoff Nano, win 10.
Already tried on another PC and with different cables.

Uploaded multiple times before on the same setup.
Pow led is on.

But Device manager is not showing anything. No COM and no unknown devices.
Is the board fried or can I try something else?

Sounds fried.

Do you have an ICSP device you can use to see if it responds to that ?

Bob.

Make sure the USB cable is fully inserted into the USB sockets on the board and your computer. When not fully inserted, the power lines may be connected, but not the data lines.

Most “ knock offs” to use the ch340 driver as the usb chip differs from the proper nano , you need to install that .

Shouldn't a missing driver not result in an unknown device?
