Hi there!
I'm quite a newbie in microelectronics so please excuse me for stupid questions. Also this is my first post so I hope I'll get it right.
I had some trouble with an Nano (ATMega328p from A-Z-Delivery - a clone, right?), after a while and for whatever reasons I could not upload my sketch any longer and the known error message "Not in Sync" (can't repead it exactly), so after tons of research I found that the solution might be to flash the bootlader. So I did!, using a new Uno R3 board (also A-Z Delivery) and it worked out fine. I have arduino Software 1.8.13 installed (latesst version, and followed one of may instructions how to do that. As I said, the burning worked, afterwards I could load my sketches up again (using an imac by the way, OS 10.13.6), everthing back to normal, the only difference was that I didn't had to use the "OLD BOOTLADER" thing any longer...
BUT – here comes my question – since then I always have to press the reset button on the board before it does run the sketch. It somehow lost its autoplay. I did exactly the same procedure with different freshly unpacked nanos - ended up in the same problem.
In my project there's a DFPLAYER connected and an MPR121Touch sensor, I attached a diagram, can't upload the code (too long, but worked fine allready) but I think it doesn't have to do with the sketch or project itself, I think something happend to the bootlader? Did I catch a wrong one? I chose "nano" from the "boards"-Pulldown and "Arduino as ISP" and the uno-board was "loaded" with the "Arduino as isp"-sketch from the examples of the arduino software.... so ... any suggestions, ideas, what might have happened? Questions?
