Hello all,
I have decided to give a go to the old Nano, I guess it is one of the 1st ver.:
Version: 2.0.4
Date: 2023-02-27T16:11:45.995Z
CLI Version: 0.31.0
I am trying to run it on the rather new IDE ver.:
Version: 2.0.4
Date: 2023-02-27T16:11:45.995Z
CLI Version: 0.31.0
This IDE works perfectly with the even older Uno... however, somehow I cannot flash the basic Blink example on the Nano, in addition the upload hangs. Otherwise, the drivers, etc. seems to be ok. IN addition, the green led is lit on the board and the 3.3v etc is also evident...
Any ideas, what may be the issue ?
best.

ok, after several tries... I have left the uploading process to "finish" and this is the error
No device found on cu.usbmodem14201
Failed uploading: uploading error: exit status 1
Btw this is weird because the Arduino IDE itself tells me that I have a Nano on this port, anyway,
what could be the problem?
Best.

Below topic shows that old nano needs a special setup.
Hi folks,
I'm recording this just in case this issue stumps anyone else.
I've been using a whole bunch of Nanos (and the really cheap Chinese knockoffs) for ages then all of a sudden they stopped uploading.
Constantly got errors as detailed below.
It took me a while to find - but there was a new boot loader released with the newer Arduino IDE - under Tools|Board you'll now see a new Processor option, eg Arduino Nano (Old boot loader). If you get stuck - try selecting that option.
This fixed…
I hope it is the same problem.

Fiddling with the Nano and its errors got me to the Uno, did some progress, however, I am still having problems with uploading the sketch, like blink here is more information where I am stuck, if anybody can help:
Hello all,
After hours of soldering I got my breakout board ready for the SOIC pckg AT Tiny 3216...
I am trying to run the new series 1, the chip since very promising, especially with a good amount of flash and easy programming (UPDI). Indeed, megaTineCore is there to use, however, no matter what I do, I can only flash the boot loader, while I cannot flash a simple "blink".
I have tried three different IDEs 18.15 18.19 and 2.0. Actually, the problem appears to be the same nonetheless the v 18…
