NE555P

Hi everybody!
My brother gave me this little thing called "NE555P". I watched what I can do with it and I saw an instruction to controll a dc motor with it.
But I still need a good explanation of the NE555P.

Could anyone help me?

Thank you

If you don’t want spend the money, at least read the documentation:

Take a look at the datasheet. It's basically two comparators and an SR-flipflop. You'll learn a lot by trying to figure it out by yourself. (If the voltage on this pin reaches 1/3 of the supply voltage, comparator A does this, and causes the flipflop to do this, so the output goes high/low, etc.)
If you're stuck, there's tons of videos online, explaining how it works.

What's your level of electronics? And what sort of explanation are you looking for? There's plenty of explanations about what the 555 is on the internet. Google is our friend. Eg. google.... "555 wikipedia"
