Need a better DAW, suggestions?

Reaper is incredibly simple to use, has a massive online community, and a trove of well made tutorial videos. It's basically free. You have a built in sound card, or an external audio interface. You have unlimited audio or MIDI tracks, a big red button to record, you hit save. It has a great native EQ plug in. Yes it can do all kinds of back flips and crazy stuff, but you can use it to make music without ever knowing about any of those things. If you can use garage band, you can use Reaper. Why people say it's so complicated is a total mystery to me.
