Need a professional to create and implement a wireless Arduino network. Code and hardware selection required; integration of about 20 machines

Need assistance with hardware selection, code writing and implementation of a WIRELESS network capable of linking equipment 700 ft apart. Goal is to retrieve (I'll provide the 2 or 3 analog signal inputs), send them wirelessly to a central computer, save the data as TXT or CSV. Initially, we will have about 20 machines connected, plus some handheld Arduino units receiving the data as well. Pls contact us at (440) 951-5356, ext 189. Note - This is DATA ACQUISITION, not machine control. I am a computer programmer and have done a one time in-depth multiple Arduino program modifications so I am sure I can be your hands on, if needed. I do lots of PLC work (G&E, Parker, Beckhoff, etc)

Why won't consider remote applicants if you can the hands on guy. You need just need a BoM and code..

If you can't assemble shipping is cheap even international. Otherwise local listing such as Craigslist makes more sense.

Am interested and I ain't in Cleveland. But am available immediately, cheap(ISH), broke and experienced.

Thx but I’m unsure why you’re second guessing my request. I’m not controlling a machine this way. I'm connecting to a machine’s OUTPUT. As mentioned … “input 2 or 3 analog signals into an Arduino”. OUTPUT isn’t control, it’s data acquisition. No data, no harm.

As mentioned, LOCAL ONLY. Why... sorry, cannot reveal all our reasons, but it is a contractual obligation related to security. ONLY US entities can be involved, no exceptions. All these devices will be air gapped, within their own segregated intranet.

The last 25 years of my career was primarily data acquisition for the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program at BWXT Nuclear Operations Group in Euclid Ohio. My work involved holding a secret clearance from DoD and DoE. Yes, real familiar with security and clearances. Matter of fact my entire career of 45 plus years was all with clearances. :slight_smile:

I can share this much. Looking at the little bit you mentioned I would not suggest an Arduino for this sort of industrial application. There are plenty of DAQ boxes out there which are wireless. Unfortunately due to the nature of my work we were in a building less windows to critical areas and absolutely nothing wireless permitted. That may have changed since I retired about 10 years ago.

Actually you may want to see any DAQ offerings from Dataq located down the road in Akron and we also bought quite a bit from NI (National Instruments). I believe today, last I spoke to anyone most DAQ is now done with NI stuff and they have extremely good support and customer support engineers. Anyway, depending on budget I would look to them. Setting up the network shouldn't be difficult. You want to start by getting a handle on how many analog channels you want/need then add some so you have spare unused analog channels. The same holds true for digital channels. It all starts with a good plan. You want to know the amplitudes of what you want to record also and like anytime we collect data we need a place to put it. :slight_smile:
