Well, I went ahead and ordered this ESP32 (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07PP1R8YK/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A2K4DGCC72N9AG&th=1) and this relay (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07X7ZM4BZ/ref=ewc_pr_img_2?smid=A2149H8PNAXBP8&psc=1). As I said in my first post, I'm completely unfamiliar with this boards, so hopefully I've picked ones that will work with what I'm trying to do here, and I that I'm not completely off my rocker.
