Hello everyone, I am new to the forum here.
I have an Arduino motor shield V2 which I have to use to supply power to a 5V DC; 1.4A stepper motor and a 12V DC LEDs.
My question is, if I supply power with a 5V; 4A adapter (20W power), will the motor port be able to supply 12V to the LEDs?
How does the motor shield know how much power to distribute to which of the ports?
You probably mean an Adafruit v2 motor shield, which is not a stepper motor driver.
Post a weblink to your motor. An 1.4A stepper can be done with a DRV8825 module.
A 12volt supply could then power your LEDs, the DRV8825, and maybe the Arduino.
Tell us more about your project. Read the "how to post" guidelines first.
