Need help building laser controlling where it will point to x,y of the camera

I want to build a laser pointer or something that will point the laser in the x y direction of the moving object received from camera.

What device to buy that will move this laser pointer fast enough?
It Should be fast, less than a second after retrieving image from the camera.

I can also use a mirror supported by four hinges that will move up and down to change the direction of the laser. But what do I need to buy to make this?

Or is there a machine like that?

You have the choice of a camera module with object following software on it, or a computer for the processing of the camera image. Then the easiest solution would be the camera following the object, and a laser pointer can be attached to the camera. Gimbals for camera movement are available, or you can build your own with two motors.
