Asus, Acer, and Dell make nice monitors. The cheaper one you linked to has an odd resolution, watch out for that.I don't know which monitor you were talking about having an odd resolution, since none of the posts had links. FWIW, if you were referring to my post, roughly 1/2 of the monitors at newegg.com have the 1920x1080 resolution that my ASUS monitor has, so right now it is not a odd resolution.
I do wish manufacturers would go back to 4:3 monitors instead of 19:10, since some of us want to program, and not just watch movies.

The OP originally linked to two monitors, one of them had a weird resolution, like 1080 x 837 or something.
