I deleted what i wrote to prevent and reduce plagiarism for my paper.

Aren't GPIO3 and GPIO1 the Rx and Tx pins on the ESP8266? i.e., the same pins that Serial is using?

Can you post a copy of what you get displayed?

Have you tried using one of the tinygps examples first, to check that you have comms with the GPS?
Have you got the GPS baud rate correct?
Can you please post link to data/spec of GPS unit?
