So I'm using 4.0 banana plugs to make jumper wire to connect from battery to breadboard and Arduino. Was wondering if I can just use the parts that I have and power the servo or will I need additional parts. If I don't need additional parts can someone help me with the circuit design
Space is very important on my project that's why I have the bare minimal, but I'm also a complete noob so after I connect the battery ground to Arduino ground where do I connect the servo motor positive and negative wires? Can you use the numbers on the breadboard picture I sent you?
Also on that diagram they don't have the positive or negative should I just remove that on my breadboard and follow the instructions or use the negative positive and then use the a to connect the brown wire?
what voltage is the servo rated for? do you need a regulator to reduce it?
does the signal to the servo need to be at that voltage or can it be at a lower voltage available from the Arduino?
Operating voltage is 6-7.2v , the load I want to carry on the servo i need 7.2v

So I copied the circuit on the Autodesk powering a servo tutorial and the breadboard lit up and got super hot , so I don't know what could be the problem. I connected ground first. The only thing that could be the culprit is the jumper wire I'm using is not connecting to the battery they said they are stackable so I plugged in the backside of one to the negative side to the negative side of the battery.Amazon.com. Is there another way I can use the servo without the breadboard?
Was able to connect the servo to the Arduino without the hex fly battery, bad news I wasted money on a battery , good news is the servo is working thanks guys.
Sounds like the servos are drawing more power than the breadboard can handle. You will need a different way to route power from your battery to your servos. For minimum size, solder a bunch of jumper wires to the battery negative connector and a bunch of jumper wires to the battery positive connector. Each servo gets one positive and one negative wire.
