I would like to build this nerdkit project NerdKits - DIY Marquee LED Array Display

I have no problem building the LED array.

But converting the code to Arduino is way out of my reach for now. :blush:

Any body willing to help me on this?

If so what color LED's do you prefer? (grin)

Also...
Reading the forum here there is a question of whether or not the Arduino can handle the needed current.

The source code provided on that page is written already (in C) for ATmega168.
It may even compile in Arduino IDE as is.
