Need help trying to get LSM9DS0 to communicate with ESP8266 Huzzah

Hi Everyone!

I am building an art installation where I use an ESP8266 Huzzah and an LSM9DS0 in a buoy on the water to send signals to my computer to create real-time music.

I cannot get the ESP8266 to communicate with the LSM9DS0.

When I upload the LSM9Doftest on Arduino 1.8.5 I keep getting the message:

ets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:4, boot mode:(1,6)

wdt reset

I added 10k pull up resistors between SDL output and + 3.3V and between SDA output and 3.3V.

I'm stuck here.

Please advise!

Thank you.

welcome.

come back, on the bottom right of your first post is the more/modify button

There is plenty to be found through Google and the error message. Or even parts of it like rst cause 4.

It appears that many of these issues with the watch dog timer resets are related to power supply issues.

How is the sensor being powered. It would be best to use a separate power supply with a capacitor across power and ground to stabilize it. Connect the grounds.

Since you are using library code, I would not suspect a code error causing the system to lock up and caused a wartchdog reset.
