Need Help with basic electronic connecting Arduino Uno with some IC

Hi, i'm trying to build router table machine that will use 3 or more stepper motors.

I'm using:

  • Arduino Uno
  • 74138 (3 to 8 DMUX)
  • 7404 (Hex Inverter)
  • 7475 (4 Bit Bistable Latch)
  • L293D (Half H Drivers)

I was searching some local shop, and these ICs were all that I could found to fill the logic needed for my circuit.
I'm a programmer and mechanic, but i don't have any experience with electronics.
I know I might have to add some pull-up resistance, etc, which is unfortunately for me, i didn't familiar with.
So.. ANY help for this basic electronic would be very appreciated.

So this is supposed to control your L298d ?
I think there is some connections missing, and why aren’t you controlling them directly by the Arduino ?

yes.
so I can control 3 stepper motors (upto 8, with this circuit) with 1 Arduino.

I'm using only 2 pins to control my bipolar stepper motor.

Stepper myStepper = Stepper(200, 5, 6);

I haven't checked if I got correct wiring logic from my 7475 (latch) to L293D/L298D Drivers.
But i think my7475 will do the trick to represent this circuit below.

Not in this case.

You have to consider reading a crash or limit position, probably with a sensor/limit switch.
Make sure you have a sufficient powered supply to drive 8 motors.
Use decoupling capacitors on the TTL I.C.s (100nF each).
Need a common ground thru to the 293.

Ambitious project.

Timing will be critical as lag in movement will produce a stair case type of movement for X & Y.
Loading both X&Y simultaneously with a different circuitry might be warranted.
