need help with dc motor with encoder

Hello Everyone I'm trying to write a program using a dc motor encoder which performs the following action: Motor will rotate according to the number of desired turns / desired angle, which will be provided by a command code for arduino uno. In addition'd i would like guidelines how to connect the encoder to microcontroler (may be this is the reason of the problem). Please note that I use a quadrature encoder type. please your help, thanks in advance Mike.
link to the motor spec:

The Pololu page has details of the connections.

Have you any code written yet? If so post it (properly using code tags, please -).

Quadrature encoder vendor link or datasheet ?

@raschemmel, The OP has the link in his first post.

Hi,

I'm currently trying to develop a similar (but much simpler) project (dc plus a simple encoder to -roughly- control speed). I'm telling about the whole history in the tread "(Trying to) develop a speed servo using Arduino due & arduino motor shield R3" that I'm using as a kind of blog.

This evening I'll explain my latest "discoverings" as I received the oscilloscope last monday and I've made a lot of progress. I'll try to be as much pedagogical as I can.

Regards

A link would be helpful.

That link doesn't point to the Thread with the details of your project.

(Thanks Robin, I thought that just the motor. I didn't realize it came with the encoder)

First pick this link; then directly on the one that says ". . (trying to) . . ."

(Sorry I don't master all this mess of links, hyperlinks, superhyperlinks and so on)

(I must confess that for me is a big trouble even adjointing pictures . . . . . . . :cold_sweat:)

I don't think you get it. The link you posted merely shows the posts OF THE USER clicking on the link so when Robin clicks on it ,
he sees HIS posts. When I click on it I see MY posts. How is Robin ever going to see the post you refer to unless you click on the link you telling US to click on and click on the "TRYING TO .." post your are referring to and the COPY THE LINK FROM THE TOP OF YOUR BROWSER AND PASTE IT INTO YOUR REPLY ?

Jeez - I never noticed that ...

I didn't feel like looking for a link in a list of posts anyway.
