Need help with HC-05 setup

I'm planning to get the data of my HC-SR04 sensor using a BT module and I researched a lot of topics about it and I read about the Data or Command mode but I don't know on what mode should I set it up for getting the data to my Android app.

Now my question was, for getting the data from the sensor to my app, should I setup my module to Data or Command mode? Thanks in advance.

You appear to have answered your own question and, since you are asking about HC-05, commands are for HC-05, and data is for Android. You may never need to send a command to HC-05. You might find the following background notes useful.

Thank you for your help. My other query was do the HC-05 comes in as Data or Command mode by default? It keeps blinking but when I connect using an app, it stops blinking. Also to add with since I am going with data mode and I want to make sure, am I going to get the info from my HC-SR04 to my app? Sorry, I am really newb on this.

It's called communications mode, and it is in that mode by default. You have to send a signal to it to get into AT mode.

It is doing what it is supposed to do. The last bit of your post is unintelligible, but the answer is probably

Serial.println(data from HC-SR04);
