Hello!I would like to know how can I mount this support in which you put a battery, with my arduino UNO development board, ill attach 2 pictures of the battery holder and my arduino system, below.
Hot glue? Double sided tape? In a box? Many ways to skin the cat.
is it safe to use a soldering gun? And if so, how should I do it, and where should I connect the wires to make it work? can you tell me more?
I think you should test your circuit before you go for soldering.
Your battery holder seems to be a 18650 one. That means you´ll have 3.7V available. This isn't enough to feed an Uno.
Edited: the battery suggests you want to make your project unconnected to a PC. How do you plan to show the values provided by the moisture sensor? (the answer to this question can give other clues about how to go further).
By connecting a Display to the system
You can use a 9V battery connected to Vin. If you use a switch to turn it on only when you need to measure soil moisture, the battery can last for months.
I like @jim-p suggestion, although in this case I would prefer the option below and connect the battery to the Uno's barrel jack whenever I want to get the data.
I suggest you to test the whole circuit (with the display) until it works and give reliable results.
If you intend to make a definitive and fixed version of it, consider letting the Uno aside and using a smaller board like the Nano. A 3V3 pro-mini is also a choice and it can be fed by 1x18650 battery although it´s a little bit trickier to program.
Andreipacurar,
I've moved your post from the uncategorised section to a more suitable place, and corrected the spelling mistake in the title.
How is named that little thing that u connected the black wire of the battery at?
