I am trying to put together a parts list for my project. I am thinking to use the Due with Ethernet shield W/PoE as the location has no convenient power. This is what I need to know, when using PoE do I need a PoE splitter or does the Ethernet shield W/PoE derive its power from the same Ethernet connector used for communications.. If I do need a splitter what cable type is used for the power?
Nothing at Arduino side, you might need PoE Injector if your Ethernet switch has no PoE enable. Same cable type, 5, 5+, 6.
