need help with text

So i want to do something like so Print(test); Test = hi; Something like that so i dont have to keep pasting the same stuff and clearing tje screen ect

What does the code look like that you've tried? Place your program between the code tags that are called up when you click on the "Insert Code" symbol (#).

#include <TVout.h>
#include <fontALL.h>
unsigned char x, y;
TVout TV;
int buttionstate = 0;
int buttion = 2
int test = False;

void setup ()
{
pinMode(buttion, INPUT);
TV.clear_screen();
TV.begin(NTSC,120,96);
TV.select_font(font4x6);
Serial.begin(9600);
}
void loop()
{
buttionstate = digitalRead(buttion);
if(buttionstate == HIGH)
{
TV.print(test);
test = Good;
}
}

Well, I'm not very good in arduino, but I can see some erros in your code: .- Variable "test" is a boolean and is declared as int. .- "buttionstate" seems to be a boolean too, or it's better to assign LOW to it. .- variable "Good" is not declared in the sketch, and if it is a text, must be into "" "". Another thing: if you must show text "good" the first time the buttinostate is HIGH, it must be assigned before the TV.pirnt sentence.

I hoe it helps you a little

Try this:

void loop() {
    buttionstate = digitalRead(buttion);
    if (buttionstate == HIGH) {
        TV.print("Good");
    }
}

or, if you want to use a variable:

const char *test = "Good";
void loop() {
    buttionstate = digitalRead(buttion);
    if (buttionstate == HIGH) {
        TV.print(test);
    }
}
