can anyone teach me or show me the coding for turn off the ignition system.
I started the project but I can't get any idea or way how to make it work.
for this project, I need to develop a dead man switch for a car.
this switch work when the driver is incapacitated or fall asleep.
the index or thumb finger must attach to the switch when the driver released it for a few seconds the switch will turn off the ignition system or cut off the engine. can anyone show me the suitable coding or can I just use the coding for the emergency stop button?
Dead mans switches nowadays are "cleverer" than that since drivers learned to just jam the switch closed and then still fall asleep. If I were you I would consider something like an led coming on at random interval, and the driver has to hit a button within a certain time to prove life.
How will you connect whatever you do to the existing system? Perhaps cut a wire and stick a relay in the gap, and have the Arduino energise the relay or not.

I sincerely hope you are not talking about a car that will be operated on public roads.
The idea of randomly shutting down the engine because the driver fails to do something is too frightening to contemplate.
The driver must take FULL responsibility for his/her capacity to operate a vehicle safely.
