Need project help on using a different board!

right now i have a led strip that turns on when sound is heard. i am running a arduino uno and i want to know if i can go and change to a arduino micro. without changing my written program. attached is the wiring diagram i used

Yes but where is the 220 ohm current limiting resistor for the led ?

Oh looks like i forgot to put in the 220 ohm resistor. so i should be able to just wire the micro just as i did the uno. and use the same program. thanks

Yes. Don't forget the resistor.

How could I go about powering the board with a 9v or a 6v battery pack on a micro what will I wire into with the battery

Google is your friend: http://arduino.cc/en/Main/arduinoBoardMicro
Look under the ‘Power’ section.

so i am powering my micro with a 5 v usb micro to the mico usb port. will it power the 9v led i have connected to the 9v pin and the sensor connected to the 5v pin

There is no 9V pin on an arduino .

Thanks forbthe help I finished it and it works great On to my next project
