Need some Arduino Help in New York City

I know very little about Arduino and I need help putting together a prototype for a weather based notification device. I'd love to hire someone who resides in New York City and can do some coding, as well as put together the Arduino lights, combined with a WIFI adapter and motion sensor.

No, but shipping stuff between Seattle and New York isn't that expensive.

Why does the developer need to be in New York?

What is the WiFi for? Where is the weather data coming from?

Yeah, exactly. I guess I could ship it back and forth but I was hoping to have someone here that I can work with so I can see the process, make changes and modifications together and also learn from it
